Lily Allen looked in the pink again at the fashion industry's Oscars last night following the revelation that a heart murmur propelled her towards a dramatic weightloss.

The Smile singer wore a pink feathered designer gown to The British Fashion Awards, in London - where Stella McCartney took the top prize of Designer of the Year.

The newly-slimline Allen looked a picture of health in the stunning Giles Deacon gown, despite her recent revelation which revealed her new look was due to being diagnosed with a heart murmur.

Party pals: Lily and fellow party-girl Kelly Osbourne who was out for the second night in a row

Allen was joined by pal Kelly Osbourne at the star-studded event which saw Stella McCartney awarded the top prize of designer of the year at the annual British Fashion Awards.

It has been a bit of an annus horribilis for Stella McCartney but last night saw her luck decidedly change.

And the 36-year-old designer, whose third child is due early next year, was thrilled at being awarded the top prize at the annual awards.

Since launching her collection in 2001, McCartney has gone from strength to strength, carving out a real niche with sharp but feminine tailoring and nifty ways with a slip dress. She also launched her first beauty collection, Care, this summer.
